Question=Your first assignment is to write an introduction to your blog. Write about yourself as a reader and writer. What type of English student are you? What will someone who follows your blog expect to see? How will you enlighten the on-line world with your reaction to the literature studied in class? Remember, English is reading, writing, and communication. Attempt to answer the question: what is the meaning of English class? Why is English a four-year requirement for college bound students? How will excelling in English help you become a successful person, both personally and academically?

I strive to be an A+ student. But I am struggling in general with being lazy and procrastinating. These are the two things I must over come this year. People who follow me can typically expect a blog that is written the same way as I talk. I always write down exactly what I would say in person. My blog will enlighten people who read it. It will enlighten them to the truth about To Kill A Mocking Bird. It will also help students look at the theme from a different perspective. English is a four-year requirement for students for a multitude of reasons. One is because literature helps you view the world in a different way. Through the eyes of the author you get to experience their viewpoint. English also helps you in a variety of ways with your life. You can communicate with people better in writing and speaking. Plus you learn to articulate and expand your ideas. Personally I absolutely have to excel in English. First, because I need to get in to good college. Second, because I love learning new vocabulary. Third, because reading is my passion.
